Waveform Festival won an “Outstanding” from the Greener Festival Awards in 2008. As well as being duly recognized as one of the important environmental & ethical events in the calendar, Waveform was also lucky enough to be chosen as Fallyrag’s festival of the year last time round.

It was the last festival I attended in 2008 and it was by far the best; the music was excellent, the atmosphere friendly, the weather changeable. I can only hope that they take it to an even higher level this time round.

Indeed I became so beautifully overwhelmed in the experience of Waveform that I even wrote the following in my creative review: “Cascading and partially fragmented waves of ethereal energy vaulted to and from distinct points within the entirety of my gaze. Viscous threads of colour, fragmented in gaseous logos, blew back and forth like the reflection of the mirror in the window. Each thread was unique; the Daemon of finite perspective. Tentacles of perspective, with finite information, serving space, time, understanding to the entirety, the absolute being.”

The dance-music festival had a host of musical genres which kept me bumped around the festival from tent to arena to tent to arena. There were moments of complete overload when I wanted to be a hundred places at once and there were moments of utter peace when I slipped into a particular mode of rhythm.

It’s with all these thoughts in mind that I say to you: Get a Waveform ticket! If you like dance music, friendly, easy-going atmospheres and the September sun then this is the ultimate ideal in festival celebration.
