LUCY BOYD
biography
If my life were a painting, I hope it would be impressionistic; a jumble of textures and expressive colours; if it were a soundtrack, sounds would flit chaotically between Led Zeppelin, Ray Charles, Debussy and Fleetwood Mac.
I have a huge passion for creative writing and interests in travel, art and design, crafts, theatre and music. Having graduated from The University of Reading, in English and Film & Theatre, I am currently working as a writer/editor for a digital publishing company called locations4business.
I’m fascinated with cultures and travelling, having caught the bug at a young age when my mum took me to India. I’ve since seen parts of Eastern Europe, Morocco, Belize, Guatemala, the Caribbean, Thailand, Laos, India, and Nepal.
I revere a man called Utpal, who lives in a luscious wild garden by the Ganges, quotes Isaac Newton and is so fulfilled in life that he wishes happiness for everyone.
I measure a person’s success by the fatness of their smile and not their wallet. If I achieve my Big Plan in life, to buy a cottage with an apple orchard and produce my own cider, my smile will be very fat indeed.
